Fernwood Angels 1

We thought us angels at the office here better do a blog post on our amazing new revolutionary breakthrough program! Just so you are 100% informed and understand what the go is!

Our society is changing, if you haven’t noticed more and more of us are glued to our phones checking our Facebooks and our Instagrams as often as we have something to eat! (If you’re anything like us-it’s more than that!) We have so many things at our fingertips, it has changed the way we consume and idealise things and us here at Fernwood are jumping on that bandwagon!

We’ve been on Facebook for a while now, and this blog, but this will change the way you exercise and maintain your diet. We have an incredible new focus on your fitness journey- offering stronger than ever support. With a focus on nutrition and exercise as always and a whole new focus on mindset! Such as searching for a sexier silhouette! We are here to help you achieve that!

The breakthrough program will aid you in learning how our meal plans work, how to make exercise work for you and understand how your mindset and journaling can help you be successful on your journey!

What exactly does it include?

-Meal plans that are specific to your body type including a list of your daily intake, preparation times, recipes and a calorie counter

-Weekly shopping lists

-Weekly workout plans

-Feature workouts, themed for a bit of fun in the gym!

-Exercise & recipe database

-Social timeline- an online community for support

-Articles & extra resources

-Weekly nutrition videos

-Weekly mindset videos

-Mindset journal

-Weekly exercise videos

The first month is exactly how and when you form ideal healthy habits, which is why our breakthrough program is perfect alongside your membership!

Not only this, but you will receive an appointment with our fitness coach to discuss your goals with and be shown the cardio and strength equipment so you are at peak comfortability at the gym!

We’ve noticed a trend in the gym of women doing loads of weights (which is awesome keep going foxes!) but some of you hate the idea of some high intensity cardio, such as running! We want to help you out and show you how awesome running can be! Not only for your health and fitness but also for enjoyment!

All you need is a new program, some commitment and most of all motivation! To build you up to running long distances we recommend you incorporate three different types of training, including high intensity long duration cardio, high intensity interval training and strength circuits! With this combination of exercise, you will build up your fitness ability to be able to sustain a 10km run.

Ask one of our personal trainers to book you in for a new program and explain to them what routine you would love to take part in.  We recommend undertaking a functional fit session too to build up that high intensity interval training and strength circuits!

Now you can’t just expect to wake up one morning and be able to run 10km straight up, but with the best training and motivation, we can get you there!

We recommend starting off with a few slow jogs and even take some walking breaks to build up your fitness capabilities and get your body used to the impacts of running.

Another way to sustain your running and make sure you stay motivated is to constantly set yourself goals. Even if it is while your running, to make it to the end of the road etc, you will find you will always be pushing yourself to do better.

Staying healthy is another way to increase your performance and also to keep yourself well enough for a consistent running schedule.

Finding a running partner is highly beneficial too! So get them involved in your running routine and you’ll be next to run in a marathon!

Happy running foxes!

So you’ve heard about Studio Cycle but you’re not sure whether it’s right for you?

We’ll tell you what’s involved and what you can benefit from this high intensity class!

Starting with how it’s good for you… well for your overall fitness it is fantastic for working up a sweat and getting your heart rate raring!

But most of all it is a fantastic way to burn those calories and shed those excess kilos! Not only this but it is great for improving your cardiovascular system and avoiding disease further down the track.

If you have found that exercise classes or weights workouts put too much strain on your back… we have found the right class for you! Studio cycle obviously involves exercising whilst you are seated on an exercise bike; this relieves the weight from your back, giving you a pain free workout!

To support this it also strengthens your leg muscles, in turn building and toning your whole lower body without weight bearing exercise. This gives you a full body workout targeting those major muscle groups.

If you have been avoiding exercise due to risk of injury, this is the right class for you. It not only strengthens your lower body but also improves your posture.

Studio cycle class is great for releasing those happy endorphins, so you leave the class feeling lifted and refreshed.

If you’re lacking motivation, the group dynamic helps bring it back, encouraging you to push that one step further!

Next step is to come down to Fernwood and try it out for yourself!
